About the Opportunity
We are seeking Childcare professionals, ranging from Educators to Early Childhood Teachers, to join our team where they will care for and educate children from birth to thirteen (0-13) years of age.
Within this role you may be requested to work at any Cumberland Council Children’s Services location at any time. Casual work is not regular work and may fluctuate from hours to block work, depending on your availability and flexibility. Council Childcare centres are open from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Key requirements include (but are not limited to):
- Experience in a Childcare environment
- Relevant qualifications are desirable ranging from Cert III in Early Education and Care to Degree qualified (depending on the position)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at various levels
- Creativity and flexibility
- A passion and desire to work with young children, their parents and other Educators

There is a simple two-step process for getting a new Working With Children Check
1. Fill in an on-line form or call the helpline to have someone fill in a form for you.
The new Working With Children Check will cost $80 for paid workers and self-employed people for a five-year period. There is no fee for volunteers, adults living in a FDC Educators home and students on placement. Find out more at http://www.kids.nsw.gov.au/
